Our approach

Scientific and clinical

The LER QSSP is developing an integrated approach to the quality and safety of care, at the interface between research, clinical practice and training. Its work focuses on the analysis, evaluation and improvement of nursing practices, particularly in acute and complex care settings.

Drawing on evidence-based data, the LER QSSP contributes to the development of best-practice guidelines, the optimisation of care processes and the prevention of risks, particularly infectious risks. It is part of a continuous improvement approach, which also incorporates the challenges of sustainability, resource efficiency and the transformation of healthcare systems.

A humanistic approach to care forms an essential foundation, emphasising the therapeutic relationship, active listening and the individuality of patients.

Teaching and Innovation

The LER QSSP plays a key role in developing quality and safety skills within bachelor’s and postgraduate programmes. It draws in particular on international standards (QSEN, patient safety) to structure the learning process.

The team designs and implements innovative teaching methods: high-fidelity simulation, e-learning, serious games, digital tools and virtual reality environments. These approaches promote clinical reasoning, interprofessional collaboration and the management of complex situations.

The LER QSSP also contributes to the integration of emerging issues such as infection prevention (HPCi), patient safety, healthcare communication and sustainability, in line with developments in the healthcare system.
